Summer heat wave -- voting is on

CityVoter is entering the hot summer months. This is the time when most of our "best of" city contests run. This week was somewhat of the kick off of what will be a very busy couple of weeks. Detroit and Indianapolis both launched their 3rd annual best of contests. WDIV -- our partner in Detroit -- is consistently one of the most competitive contests we have. They always generate more than 150,000 votes and tons of great local recommendations. The voting began last night at 8PM, and there are already more than 2,000 votes. Today's business of the day is East Side Mario's. They finished in the top 5 in 2007 and 2008. They're making a run for number one again this year.

Not to be outdone, we're keeping a close eye on Indy's A-List. The folks from Indianapolis have already logged more than 8,000 votes in the first week. Check out the television promotion driving people online to vote.

Looking forward to the next couple of weeks.

This website is the best! I can't believe I didn't find it sooner. What if I want to start a contest between the best burger places in a couple cities. Is there a way to do that? I would love to see some of the finest burger joints from each coast square off!
